Temperatures Touch on 40 Degrees amid Possible Heat Threats to Produce and Livestock

AMMAN —Al Ghad— The heat wave continues to span across Jordan, and the region, Sunday and Monday, with the highs abruptly above seasonal averages by 3 to 4 degrees centigrade, with the range expected to reach 5 to 7 degrees above medians for this time of the year tomorrow, according to the ArabiaWeather website, citing increasingly hot spots along the Jordan Valley provinces, including vastly agricultural areas.

In these regards, The Ministry of Agriculture called upon produce and livestock farmers to take head of the heat and take precautionary measures to preserve their stocks and farms, contain the effects of the heat wave as much as possible, said Ministry Spokesperson Nimmer Haddadin, who elaborated on means and measures by which sector operators may limit the devastating effects of the wave.
