The injured Palestinian was transferred to nearby hospital for medical treatment, Palestinian sources confirmed, and added that Israeli military bulldozers broke into a number of towns and villages in the West Bank city of Hebron, arrested a Palestinian youth and erected military barriers in the area.

Israeli occupation authorities have deployed hundreds of soldiers and patrols on the streets of the holy city and entrances of neighbourhoods, and subjected Jerusalemites to provocative inspection.

The anniversary coincides with the increasing attacks by settlers on the mosque, attempts to Judaize the holy city and the continuation of excavation works that threaten Al Aqsa Mosque.
