FM Meets with Japanese Minister, UN Official on Regional Development and Ties

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh on Monday, met with the Special Envoy of the Secretary General of UN in Iraq, Yan Kobitch, and Japanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Kentaro Sonora, to discuss developments in Iraq particularly, and the region, as well as the strengthening of Jordan-Japanese ties, in addition to a number of issues in the area.

They also tackled efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the latest developments in a number of unrest-hit Arab countries, including Syria, Yemen, Libya and Iraq.

Kobitch and Judeh focused on latest developments in Iraq and the need for concerted efforts by all parties to achieve security and stability in the country.
