Public and UNRWA Schools to See Vacation Sunday through Thursday

AMMAN —Al Ghad— The Minister of Education, Mohammad Thunaibat, announced Saturday that government and UNRWA schools across the Kingdom are to suspend works and classes Sunday through Thursday, in order for the Independent Elections Commission (IEC) to prepare for the polls due on Tuesday, September 20th, followed by 2 days of sorting and verification, as they will be used as polling centres.

Excluded are private schools, since no polling will take place on their campuses.

The preparation will include the installation of 5 thousand cameras in all 1952 schools used as polling centres, among other utilities to be installed.
