Settlers Storm Tomb in East Nablus, Occupation Arrests 16 Palestinians across West Bank

RAMALLAH — Israeli occupation forces early Thursday, arrested 16 Palestinians from various West Bank cities as well as occupied Jerusalem. Also, more than 1,000 Jewish settlers early Thursday, stormed the so-called "Joseph Tomb" near the Balata refugee camp east of Nablus, to perform Talmudic rituals.

Palestinian official in charge of the settlement file in the northern part of the West Bank, Ghassan Douglas, said in a statement that more than 20 buses carrying about 1,000 settlers arrived at the tomb under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces to perform Talmudic rituals.

He said that two Palestinian youths were injured following confrontations with the occupation forces and the settlers.

Additionally, the Palestinian Prisoner Club said in a statement that the occupation forces raided the cities of Jenin, Nablus, Hebron and a number of neighbourhoods in occupied East Jerusalem, where the arrests took place.
