AMMAN —Al Ghad— The Director of the Aqsa Affairs department with the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affair declared denounced the provocative Israeli decision to ban the Islamic Call to Prayer (Athan) in the Occupied City of Jerusalem, and described it a pointless escalation by the obnoxious Israeli far right government, and their oppressive polices against the Palestinian people.

Abdullah Abbadi, Aqsa affairs director, said “this is not the first time the Israeli extremist authorities try to ban Athan in Jerusalem; it has been recurrent since 1967”. Furthermore, he reassured that these laws are irrelevant to the Jordanian Islamic authority in the city of Jerusalem, therefore the Call to Prayer will not be muffled in Jerusalem, and will be raised, on time, every time, in all of the city’s mosques!
