Demand on Fuel and Gas Up 60% on Trough

AMMAN —Al Ghad— Demand on gas and fuels over the week has increased by almost 60 per cent on some oil derivatives, compared to the week before, according to the Association of Gas Station Owners and Distributors, expectedly due to the decline in prices, the Association confirms, which coincided with a rainy trough.

Demand on diesel increased by 59.6 per cent, reaching 41 thousand tonnes supplied, compared to roughly 25.9 thousand tonnes the week before.

Similarly, demand on house gas (kitchen gas) suddenly leaped a good 27.7 per cent from 864.7 thousand tubes (cylinders) the previous week to 1.1 million tubes.

Meanwhile, demand on kerosene jumped 450 per cent to 6.6 thousand tonnes, compared to nearly 1.2 thousand tonnes.
