AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Monday, received Chief of the EU Election Observation Mission, Jo Leinen, who presented the final report on Jordan’s September 20th Parliamentary Elections.

In a press conference in Amman on Monday, Leinen, said the report offers a comprehensive assessment of the parliamentary election, and that were well administrated and inclusive and that the Election Day was peaceful, calm and generally well organized.

During the meeting, which was attended by State Minister for Political and Parliamentary Affairs Musa Maayteh, and State Minister for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani, the Premier said that Jordan was proud to hold the parliamentary elections that reflected the reform process carried out by Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

The EU EOM was deployed to Jordan from 13 August to 6 November 2016. The EU EOM observed the 20 September 2016 parliamentary election with 108 observers from all 28 EU Member States, Canada, Norway and Switzerland.
