Gov’t Raises Fuel Prices 6.8-7.2%, Gas Prices Fixed

AMMAN —AlGhad— The government announced raising basic fuel derivative prices between 6.8 to 7.2 per cent, effective January 1st, whereas the price of house gas cylinder remains fixed at JOD7.

Price per litre of Octane-90 was raised 6.8 per cent to JOD0.62, from JOD0.58 per litre, and the price per litre Octane-95 has also gone up to JOD0.81, approximately 7.2 per cent, from JOD0.755 per litre.

The price per litre of Diesel and Kerosene were raised 6.8 per cent, to JOD0.465, from JOD0.435.

Throughout the year 2016, the government has raised fuel prices 7 times and lowered them 4 times in total.
