AMMAN —AlGhad— A joint Jordan-Iraqi preparation committee in Baghdad convened on Saturday to preface extensive negotiations, expected to launch next Monday, sources have confirmed, bringing together the prime ministers of both countries to discuss the custom exemption of Jordanian products and the initiation of the Iraqi-Jordanian oil pipeline.

Previously, the Iraqi government had issued a regulation incurring a 30 per cent custom fee on national products crossing into Iraq, despite the noticeable drop in Jordanian exports by 40 per cent over the duration of 2 years.
