Ministry: 6-Month ETA on 3 Oil-Gas Reservoir Projects in Jordan

AMMAN — The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced on Saturday that there are currently 3 liquid gas and oil derivative reservoirs underway, and that they are expected to be ready within 6 months of the year, 2017.

The first reservoir is designated for storing oil crude and fuel derivatives, whereas the other two are being built to store liquid natural gas at a total capacity of 112 thousand tonnes, at a cost of JOD20 million, according to the 2017, down from JOD27 million, roughly, estimated in the 2016 budget bill.

The storage facilities are estimated to suffice the Kingdom for 60 days on average fuel and gas consumption.
