Jordan Sources 670m Cubic Metres of Natural Gas to Egypt in 2016

AMMAN —AlGhad— Over the course of the year, 2016, Jordan has sources close to 670 million cubic metres of liquidated natural gas to Egypt, via the liquid gas port in Aqaba, says the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Throughout the year, Jordan has imported 48 shipments of liquidated gas, 8 of them were purchased by Egyptian energy parties.

All in all, the 40 shipments of gas have contributed to 85 per cent of the Kingdom’s generated electricity in 2016.
