Sudanese President ‘Bashir’ Receives King’s Invitation to Attend Summit

KHARTOUM — Sudanese President Omar Bashir on Monday, received Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and State Minister for Investment Affairs Jawad Anani, who conveyed to him a letter from His Majesty King Abdullah II to attend the Arab summit that will be hosted by Jordan in March.

Anani conveyed the greetings of His Majesty to the Sudanese president as well as his pride in the strong ties between Jordan and Sudan.

He pointed to efforts of Majesty to enhance Arab solidarity and find solutions to political crises in Syria, Yemen and Libya and achieve reconciliation in Iraq.

President Bashir stressed his determination to take part in the upcoming Arab summit that would contribute to boosting Arab solidarity.

He also voiced his country's keenness to enhance relations with Jordan in the interest of both peoples.

The Sudanese president also highlighted the need to hold meetings of the joint ministerial committee in February.
