Fuel Up 8%, House Gas Unchanged, Income to Treasury JOD55m

AMMAN —AlGhad— The government announced raising basic fuel prices 3.2 to 8.6 per cent on Tuesday, effective tomorrow, Wednesday the 1st of February, 2017, with the price of household gas cylinders unchanged, at JOD7.

The expected income to Treasury by end of 2017 is estimated at JOD55 million.

Price per litre of Octane-90 was raised 7.3 per cent to JOD0.665, from JOD0.625 per litre, including the JOD0.03 increase on the litre, and the price per litre Octane-95 was also upped to JOD0.88, approximately 8.6 per cent, from JOD0.88 per litre.

Accordingly, the price of Octane fuels 90 and 95 per gallon have increase by JOD0.9 and JOD1.4, respectively, to JOD13.3 and JOD17.6, from the previous JOD12.4 and JOD16.2.

As for Kerosene and Diesel, those too have seen an increase on the litre by 3.2 per cent, from JOD0.465 to JOD0.48. The price per gallon have increased from JOD9.3 to JOD9.6.
