GAZA — A Palestinian man was taken to hospital after he was injured by a projectile that was fired at Gaza strip by Israeli occupation forces.

Ministry of Health Spokesperson in Gaza, Ashraf Gardah, said the man was wounded when Israeli forces shelled eastern Jabalia, in northern Gaza, a small impoverished coastal enclave under blockade by Israel.

He said the man was rushed to hospital for medical attention, but did not give any details on his condition.

Meanwhile, occupation forces pushed deep into Beit Hanoun, a city on the northeast edge of the Gaza Strip, amid heavy gunfire and razed lands which Palestinians use for farming.

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli troops rounded up 11 locals from occupied eastern Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem and Jenin.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club said Israeli soldiers rampaged through the cities, raided a number of houses and arrested the Palestinian citizens.

The Club, which looks after the welfare of Palestinian inmates and their families, said Israeli authorities launch daily arrest raids against Palestinians under "different and unjustified pretexts".
