Treasury Bonds Issuance Down 38%

AMMAN —AlGhad— The overall value of Treasury Bonds issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) for the Government since the beginning of the year, 2017, until April 18th, has declined JOD400 million, approximately 38 per cent, compared to the same duration last year, according to CBJ data.

So far, the total worth of Bonds issued stands at JOD1.05 billion, down from JOD1.45 billion issued over the same duration of 2016.

The most recent offering was held on the 13th of April, whereby bonds were bid at the value of JOD75 million each, at a maturity rate of 5 years and 5.577 per cent interest.
