AMMAN — His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, the Regent, on Thursday, received Vice Premier of the Chinese State Council Liu Yandong, who conveyed the greetings of Chinese President Xi Jinping to His Majesty King Abdullah II.
The meeting at Zahran Palace, which was attended by Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, focused on means to forge closer ties between Jordan and China, who marked recently the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Talks between the two countries also dealt with cooperation and partnership between the two countries that have developed over the past few years, especially in the economic field.
The Regent also discussed with the Chinese official Jordan's stance, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, in supporting efforts that aim at addressing efforts to address regional challenges and arriving at political solutions to these crises in order to enhance global peace and security.
The talks also focused on regional and international efforts to fight terrorism and extremism that threaten global peace and security as well as efforts to revive peace negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis in line with the two-state solution, the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions.
The Chinese official voiced her country's keenness to promote cooperation and partnership between Jordan and China in various fields.
