Japanese USD22m Grant to Jordan

AMMAN —AlGhad— The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, signed a grant agreement with Japan, via the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to facilitate an additional USD21.61 million grant, to support the second phase of the water sector efficiency project in Jordan, administrated by the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

The water efficiency project is aimed to support water distribution operations in the areas most affected by the influx of Syrian refugees, north of the Kingdom,

Meanwhile, the project covers 20 thousand Jordanian households in the included regions.
