King, Gov’t Denounce Manchester Attack

AMMAN —AlGhad— His Majesty King Abdullah II sent a telegram today, Tuesday, to the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, denouncing the suicide attack which took place yesterday, Monday, in Manchester, UK, killing and injuring dozens of innocent people.

The government as well, condemned the attack which killed 22 people and injured nearly 60 others, some of them children.

Government spokesperson and Minister of Media Affairs, Dr Mohammad Momani, made a statement today, describing the attack as “inhumane and cowardly”.

More so, Momani reiterated Jordan’s firm position against terrorism and violent extremism, and called for a more consolidated global effort to combat terrorism.

In the end, Momani conveyed his condolences on behalf of the government and the Jordanian people to Britain and the families of the innocent victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
