Jordan 'A Safe Haven' of Opportunities: Kabariti

AMMAN — Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Nael Kabariti, said on Wednesday that Jordan has established a solid foundation based on principles of justice, equality and equal opportunities, recalling the great achievements in the Kingdom in the aftermath of independence in various domains, especially economic one as well as adopting development policies to promote living conditions.

Kabariti said in a statement issued on the occasion of the Kingdom's Independence Day, that Jordan has accomplished a unique state of development and achievement in the region, overcoming the challenges facing it.

Kabariti, who also heads the Union of Arab Chambers and a member of House of Senate, stressed that Jordan has strong economic relations with various international economic blocs, adding that a number of global forums and economic events were held in the Kingdom due to its stability in addition to providing economic opportunities as well as strategic projects in different vital sectors.

Due to the efforts of his Majesty, Jordan also has achieved great economic accomplishments to integrate the national economy with the world and launch reform programs to build a solid economy through developing infrastructure and establishing industrial and free zones to attract investments throughout the world, he added.

Kabariti also hailed King Abdullah's efforts in improving political, economic and developmental lives of Jordanians by placing economy at the top of his priorities, as well as strengthening the role of the private sector in implementing economic reform programs and achieving sustainable social and economic development.

He also praised His Majesty's launch of the Jordanian Economic Growth Stimulus Programme (2018-2022), which coincides with the government's reform programs to achieve sustainable development, enhancing the competitiveness of the economy, developing the business environment and helping to invest in opportunities.

He pointed out that the plan aims to put Jordan on the path of sustainable development and access to a strong economy that can stand in the face of regional and international challenges so that Jordan will be able to gradually reduce its dependence on aid.
