AMMAN —AlGhad— The government fuel pricing committee decided today, Wednesday, to drop fuel prices and stabilise household gas prices, due to the recent drop in the global price range of oil per barrel to around USD50.48 in May, compared to USD52.53 per barrel in April.

The Cabinet decided to reduce the prices of various oil derivatives and fuels by JOD0.01 per litre, with the exception of Octane-95, steady at JOD0.89, and house gas.

The price per litre of Octane-90 was lowered to JOD0.665, from JOD0.675, and the price for Diesel and Kerosene has been reduced to JOD0.48 per litre, from JOD0.49.

The price per cylinder of household gas remains steady at JOD7.00.

More so, for the first time, the government fixed the price offering per million British thermo-units of natural gas produced at the Reisheh field at JOD3.43.

Notably, the Committee reviews and reconfigures domestic fuel price offerings in accordance to the global market price range median once every 30 days.
