IRBID —AlGhad— A tribal truce was pledged by the two conflicting families in Sarih, a North Jordanian town in the Irbid Governorate, following days of unrest, violence, armed clashes and attacks, over two murders which took place a few weeks back.

Two youths were killed in the precursor murders, one doctor, Qutaiba Sheyab, and another youth, Ali Athamnah.

The truce was signed by the parents and direct relatives of the two victims, in an effort led by former premier, Dr Abdul Rauf Rawabdah, and a number of the town’s tribal figures.
