AMMAN —AlGhad— The government on Friday announced lowering the fuel-derivatives price baseline by 2.2 to 3.1 per cent, while keeping the price per cylinder of household gas steady at JOD7.00.

According to the new pricelist, the price per litre of Octane-90 has gone down from JOD0.665 to JOD0.65, by roughly 2 per cent.

Octane-95 will see a 2.8 per cent discount on the price per litre, from JOD0.890 to JOD0.865.

Price per litre of both diesel and kerosene, as well, has decreased accordingly, from JOD0.480 to JOD0.465.

According to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the government’s decision was due to the global drop in median crude oil prices to around USD46.48 per barrel throughout June, compared to USD50.48 in May.
