Gov’t: Inbound Tourism Up 10%

AMMAN —AlGhad— The Minister of Tourism, Lina Annab, stated inbound tourism has grown by nearly 10 per cent, compared to the first 6 months of 2015, from 2.19 million to 2.41 million.

In-house tourism has grown 11 per cent, according to Annab, has also grown over the first half of the year, comparatively, from 1.75 million to 1.94 million.

Non-resident Jordanians preside the rank of in-house tourists, at nearly 35 per cent of the total inbound, in-house tourism.

Non-Arab Gulf visitors comprise 26 per cent, while Arab Gulf tourists comprise nearly 13 per cent of inbound in-house tourism, followed by Europeans at 12 per cent.
