AMMAN —AlGhad— After Jerusalemites and religious figures of the occupied city had refused to enter the Aqsa Mosque complex until the Hatta Gate was opened, thousands of Palestinians made it into the complex to raise the afternoon prayers, Asr, for the first time since the lockdown two weeks ago.

After Palestinians amassed by the thousands inside the Aqsa Mosque complex, Israeli occupation forces locked the gates again and did not allow Palestinians entry, only exit.

Occupation troops stormed the Aqsa Mosque as people were praying and celebrating, beat them with batons and fired rubber bullets at the worshipers.

The Palestinian Red Crescent and Health Ministry have reported dozens of injuries, no less than 40 of them injured by rubber bullets.

Earlier, Islamist Jerusalemite figures called for the retraction of all security procedures installed recently by the Israeli occupation forces.

Figures insisted on taking down the cameras and opening all locked gates. Not to mention demands that occupation authorities and settlers should refrain from any further infringements against the Holy Mosque, for good.
