Royal Jordanian Suffers JOD26.3m Loss in H1-2017

AMMAN —AlGhad— The Royal Jordanian airlines cited JOD26.3 million in gross loss in the first 6 months of the year, H1-2017.

Occupancy rates in June, 2017, increased to 64.1 per cent, compared to 60.2 per cent in June, 2016, up 3.9 per cent.

In H1-2017, 253 thousand passengers have travelled via the Royal Jordanian, compared to 224 thousand in 2016, up 13 per cent.

On the matter, Stefan Pichler, the company’s general director and CEO, said he is happy to announce that RJ has made profit, net, in July, marking a shift in the company’s performance.

This will be a turning point for the Royal Jordanian, Pichler said.
