Treasury Bonds Down 28%

AMMAN —AlGhad— The overall value of treasury bonds and notes issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) in open auction has declined by 28.1 per cent over the duration of 7 months, approximately JOD690 million, compared to the total issuance of bonds for the same duration last year.

In total, the government issued JOD1.76 billion in bonds since the beginning of the year, compared to JOD2.45 billion during last year’s same duration.
