AMMAN —AlGhad— The General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU) started issuing free work permits to migrant workers as well as Syrian refugees in order to regulate this sector and protect job opportunities for Jordanians especially in professions closed for guest labour.

The federation's president Mazen Maaytah told Petra that the federation agreed with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the labour Ministry to issues work permits to create job opportunities for Jordanians and prevent non-Jordanians from working in profession closed for guest labour.
