Turnout Less Than Half of Previous Rates, 894k Votes Cast until 4:20PM: IEC

AMMAN —AlGhad— Total turnout in all of the Kingdom’s governorates by 4:20PM, stands at no more than 21.75 per cent of the constituency, which according to the Chairman of the Independent Elections Commission (IEC), Dr Khaled Kalaldeh, does not even touch on half of the turnout rates in previous Municipal Elections.

Around 894 thousand ballot cards have been cast, in total.

Ajloun scored the highest turnout rate, at 46.84 per cent, whereas in the capital, Amman, no more than 11.92 per cent of voting constituency has turned out to cast their votes.

Balqa, 25.97 per cent of the voting demographic have cast their votes, 13.32 per cent in Zarqa, 32.77 per cent in Madaba, and 29.08 per cent in Irbid.

In Jarash, Mafraq, Karaq, Tafileh, and Maan, turnout rates ranged between 35.70 and 41.12 per cent, respectively, as opposed to 25.45 per cent in Aqaba.
