AMMAN —AlGhad— The Jordanian Bar Association (JBA)’s monitor group stated at a press conference Tuesday afternoon, that several suspected incidents of vote purchasing were cited at numerous polling centres.

Additionally, the Bar confirmed that several monitory personnel were not allowed to oversee the ballot sorting processes in some of the polling centres.

The Independent Elections Commission (IEC) were immediately contacted, and were cooperative, the Bar said.

The polling process at some of the polling centres, including the large stadiums and halls, were chaotic, according to the monitory team.

In addition to other problems, several issues had effected the flow of voting process, including incidents wherein monitors were not allowed to oversee the sealing of ballot boxes.

The Bar stated that a comprehensive, final report will be issued, entailing all of the cited violations, to be declared at an upcoming press conference.
