Foreign Reserves Reach JOD13.1b End of June

AMMAN — The Central Bank of Jordan's (CBJ) foreign reserves stood at JOD13.105 billion at the end of June this year sufficient to cover the Kingdom's imports of commodities and services for seven months, according to a CBJ report.

The report also indicated that credit facilities extended by licensed banks in the Kingdom increased by 5 per cent, up to a total of JOD24.53 billion compared to JOD22.906 billion at the end of last year.

Deposits also slightly increased to JOD32.786 billion from JOD32.09 billion.
