AMMAN —AlGhad—A recent, preliminary Chinese study, commissioned by the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) concluded that Amman, the capital city of Jordan, actually needs an underground metro network, a Municipality source told AlGhad.

At this point, the company is currently working on the detailed study of the Amman underground network, in accordance to the MoU signed with GAM.

As far as the preliminary designs indicate, the Amman Metro will connect the northern regions of the Capital to its southernmost parts, as well as Eastern parts to West.

Further documents will be presented to the Municipality, including cost estimates and detailed schemes, as soon as the studies are concluded.
