RJ Suspends Suleimaniah, Erbil Flights Starting Friday

AMMAN —AlGhad— Starting 6PM Friday, the Royal Jordanian airlines said in a statement last night, Wednesday, flights to and back from Suleimaniah and Erbil, in the Kurdistan-Iraqi province, north of Iraq, will be suspended until further notice.

The suspension comes by the directives of the Iraqi authorities following the defiant referendum conducted earlier this week on Independence.

The Royal Jordanian operates 13 flights to Erbil and Suleimaniah on a weekly bases, and 21 flights to Baghdad and Basra.
