Asian Federation Bans Feisali Players Internationally

AMMAN —AlGhad— The Asian Football Federation’s issued a one-year suspension order against a number of the Jordanian football club’s players, Feisali SC, in addition to fines, over the latest incident during the match versus Tunisia’s Taraji, at the Asia Cup Finals.

The Jordanian Football Association (JFA) confirmed to AlGhad that the Asian Federation’s decision are to enforceable internationally as well as domestically.

Notably, the initial sanctions were issued by the Arab Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee, to ban the club and impose fines. The Federation just reinforced these sanctions.

Meanwhile, JFA told AlGhad that the Association intends to appeal the decision within the upcoming ten days.

As far as the sanctions go, the Asian Federation suspended five Feisali players for one year, having been convicted for attacking Egyptian referee, Ibrahim Nour Al Din.

Feisali fans also rampaged the stadium, destroyed seats and properties in protest during the riots.

Fines range between USD5,000 and USD10,000, including other players and members of the Feisali administration.
