AMMAN —AlGhad— The United Nations’ International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights is convening in Geneva today, Monday, to meet with the representatives of national CSOs from Jordan, Congo, and Australia, to discuss their reports on Human Rights in each of their countries.

Among the participating CSOs is the Jordanian Anti-Torture Civil Coalition, addressing topics from anti-torturing legislation to separation of authorities and measures of fair trials.

The convention in session precedes Jordan’s discussion on its fifth human rights reports on civil and political rights in Jordan next Thursday.

An official delegation will represent Jordan in Thursday’s debates, including representatives of the National Human Rights Centre alongside representatives of participating CSOs.
