Demand Up 50% and 30% on House Gas, Kerosene

AMMAN —AlGhad— Demand on certain seasonal fuels increased by 30 to 50 per cent since the cold front settled in earlier this week, including demand on household gas, which has increased the most, by nearly 50 per cent, and kerosene which has also increased by a significant 30 per cent.

According to the association of gas distribution stations, demand increased to 180 thousand tubes in just a couple of days, from 120 thousand last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, demand on other kerosene has increased to 792 thousand litres since Tuesday, from 609 thousand Monday night.

In the meantime, the price per litre of 90 and 95 Octane fuel was raised by the government beginning of December, whereas household gas prices remain at JOD7 per tube.
