Police Raid in East Amman, 12 Arrested

AMMAN —AlGhad— Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel arrested 12 drug dealers and users in two separate raids in Jabal al Taj, East of Amman, according to the Public Security Directorate (PSD)’s media office.

In a statement today, Tuesday, the police said the task forces raided two separate houses, one of them abandoned, and arrested 12 individuals.

The police confiscated various quantities of synthetic weed (Joker) and other narcotics, as well as a firearm found in the possession of one of the detainees.

One of the defendants is a foreigner of Arab nationality and another is wanted for 14 different counts and charges.

The detainees were booked on the charges of consuming, promoting, trafficking and dealing drugs and narcotics, and are currently being processed.
