‘Investor Confidence Index’ Drops 2.18pts

AMMAN —AlGhad—The Investor Confidence Index in Jordan has declined by 2.18 points in October, 2017, from 90.92 points in September, 2017, to 88.74 points, according to the Jordan Strategy Forum (JSF).

The secondary trust index at the Amman Stock Exchange has also declined by 2.7 points to 90.61 in October, due to the decline in overall ASE indices.

Confidence in Economic Activity, however, has increased by 1.55 points to 121.43, due to the rise in industrial indices, from 98.7 points in September to 102.1 in October.

Typically, the decline in Investor Confidence is associated with the dip in Financial Market activity, despite the increase economic activities.

Meanwhile, the issuance of construction permits has also increased to 3,188 permits issued come October, from 2,076 in September, also indicating thrust in real estate.
