Agricultural Sectoral Price Index Up 10.6%

AMMAN —AlGhad— The sectoral price index for the agricultural producers in the has increased by 10.6 per cent by November 2017, compared to November 2016, according to the figures of the General Statistics Departments.

The Nov-2017 price index has exceeded the 100-points barrier to nearly 110.6 points, in comparison.

Various vegetable and fruit produce have seen a hike in the market price index, ranging from 10.5 to 50 per cent, including spinach, flower, peppers, tomatoes, oranges and potatoes, respectively, among other produce.

These vegetables and fruits constituted more than 60 per cent of the demand in the market importance index.

Produce showing the greatest decline in price indices include cucumber, lemon and various beans, ranging from 4.5 to 34.1 per cent.
