AMMAN —AlGhad— Palestinians are calling for riots and protests tomorrow, Friday, in a nation-wide show of rejection to US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of “Israel”, in what has become known as the “Friday Fury” protests.

In response, President Trump threatened further aid cuts for Palestinians today, Thursday, during a meeting with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Apparently, Trump believes the Palestinians have “disrespected the United States of America.”

“We will suspend aid to Palestinians until they return to the negotiations table,” he confirmed.

Last Tuesday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s refused to meet with US Vice President Mike Pence. An event Trump considered another “insult” to the US.

On the other hand, for as long as the US does not retract its recognition, “they will be excluded from negotiations,” Spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority Nabil Abu Rudaineh stated in Ramallah.

“We have a peace proposition. It is a great proposition for the Palestinians,” Trump said, underscoring that the Israelis will have to make concessions too.
