RAMALLAH —AlGhad—  Jenin Municipality declared a full-scale strike to mourn the loss of Ahmad Jarrar, who was killed by Israeli occupation forces in Al-Yamun village northwest of Jenin in the West Bank, Jenin governor Ibrahim Ramadan said in a statement on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, dozens of Palestinians were wounded and suffered suffocation as clashes erupted when occupation troops stormed the town, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said.

Occupation forces used live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters to disperse Palestinian resistance, leaving dozens injured and suffocated.

Ramadan added that the Israeli liaison office informed the Palestinian Liaison office that Ahmad Jarrar was indeed martyred, and that his body is still detained by Israel.

Mosques in Jenin mourned the death of Jarrar, and declared the full-scale strike in the city in protest of his assassination.

Israeli occupation forces conducted an operation that led to the martyrdom of Ahmad Nasser Jarar, whom was being hunted for weeks after allegedly killing a settler near Nablus.
