Palestinians, Occupation Forces Clash across West Bank

RAMALLAH —AlGhad— Dozens of Palestinians were injured and arrested in various parts of the West Bank today, Thursday, Palestinian sources confirmed, as clashes erupted between youth and occupation forces in Nabulus and surrounding areas.

Two dozen occupation armoured vehicles broke into the city on multiple sides, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) statement said.

Troops with the Special Central Unit (Yamam) also accompanied the raiding forces, who opened fire at resisting Palestinians, injuring an unknown number of youths.

Occupation troops used live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters, the Society confirmed, against the unarmed resistance.

They surrounded Faisal street, the Eastern cemetery, the old town and Ras Al-Ain, and climbed the rooftops in Ibn Rushd street and other houses near the National Hospital, where the heaviest clashes took place, the PRCS added.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation troops 18 Palestinians in various West Bank cities, the Palestinian Prisoners' Society said in a statement.

Soldiers also stormed the cities of Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, El- Beira, Nablus, Tulkarem and Jenin and arrested 18 citizens, under the pretext they were wanted by occupation authorities, according to Petra, the Jordan news agency.

They handed over a number of notices to Palestinian citizens, ordering them to appear before the occupation intelligence.

For years now, occupation authorities and military have been launch daily arrest campaigns against dozens of Palestinians under various pretexts.
