AMMAN —AlGhad— Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu held a joint conference in Amman today, Monday, featuring the Palestinian and Syrian situations and the development of bilateral relations.

Safadi and Cavusoglu both stressed on the steady progress of strengthening relations, especially over the past two years.

Jordan and Turkey see eye to eye on the centrality of the Palestinian Cause and the vitality of advancing the Two-State Solution, Mr Cavusoglu noted.

In Syria, Mr Safadi stressed that Jordan strongly supports the Geneva discourse to arrive at a political solution for the Syrian crisis.

However, if the Syrian regime fails to deals with the “terrorists” in Efrin, then no one will stop Turkey.

Meanwhile, Jordan and Turkey will work towards boosting flight routes as of February 19th, 2018, Mr Cavusoglu said, to support economic ties and bolster cooperation in the field of tourism.

The Turkish Chief of Staff will visit Jordan tomorrow, Wednesday, he said, and the Prime Minister shortly afterwards.
