Dozens Arrested in West Bank, Bombardment in Gaza

RAMALLAH/GAZA —AlGhad— Israeli occupation troops on Wednesday detained 19 Palestinians in various West Bank cities under various pretexts as aircrafts bombarded a monitoring post in Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood in Gaza, Palestinian sources confirmed.

Forces, backed by military vehicles and bulldozers, pushed deep into Palestinian agricultural lands east of Beit Hanoun and razed Palestinian lands.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society said soldiers stormed the cities of Nablus, Qalqilya, Hebron, Bethlehem and Jenin and arrested nearly two dozen citizens.

Occupation forces they have been doing on a near daily basis for years, news reports indicate.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes early today shelled a monitoring post, run by the Palestinian resistance, as well as agricultural lands to the east of Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood in the besieged Gaza enclave.

Palestinian sources confirmed that Israeli aircrafts fired a number of rockets against the monitoring post, but no injuries were reported.

Occupation authorities claimed that today's shelling came after an explosive device detonated near an Israeli patrol along the Gaza Strip border. No injuries or damage were reported.
