AMMAN - A Russian cargo plane carrying humanitarian aid for the Syrian refugees in the Kingdom arrived Thursday at the Marka military airport.

According to Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) advisor Rajab Zubaydah, the plane was carrying 38 tons of basic supplies, including high capacity power generator, blankets, tents and food.

The aid will be distributed to Syrian refugees in the Kingdom, Zubaydah said while highlighting the role of the organization in facilitating the entry and the distribution of aid in the Kingdom by providing donors with the numbers, location, names and details of living conditions of Syrian refugees in the Kingdom.

The plane was received by the Russian ambassador in Amman, Boris Bolotin, the embassy staff and the Hashemite Charity Organization adviser Rajab Zubaydah.

The Russian ambassador told Petra that this is the fourth aircraft sent by Russia to shoulder the financial burden imposed on the Kingdom due to the presence of the Syrian refugees.
