AMMAN - Jordan will grant temporary, ordinary passports to investors and individuals with pressing humanitarian needs, after the prime ministry ratified amendments to the Passports Law on Tuesday.

Following the decision, a temporary passport can be granted for no less than one year and no more than five, and can be withdrawn if needed, for investors or individuals suffering extreme circumstances that call for humanitarian assistance, following a recommendation from the interior minister.

The amendment was published in the official Gazzet on Tuesday.
