Gendarmerie officer killed during armed assult in Ma’an buried

AMMAN/MA’AN – Gendarmerie officer Nart Haytham Aziz Nafash, who was killed during an armed assault on a public security department post in down town, Ma’an, was buried yesterday in Amman.

Nafash, 24, passed away in Ma’an Public Hospital affected of his wounds after unidentified persons attacked his duty station in Ma’an with automatic rifles.

The Gendarmerie, in cooperation with other security bodies, have launched an investigation into the incident.


Representing His Majesty King Abdullah, Chairman of joint Chiefs of Staff, Minister of the Interior Hussein al-Majali attended the funeral in Biader Wadi al-Seer, in Amman.
