3-Year Old Case: 15 People To Be trialled for Setting Bohra Shiite Sect House on Fire in Kerak

KERAK — District Attorney refers 15 people to Kerak Criminal Court to be trialled for different counts on the background of arson attack on a Shiite Bohra sect house in Southern Mazar area 3 years ago, according to an official source in Kerak.

The charges stretch from abetment, to illegal gathering, arson, vandalism, and robbery.

The source confirmed that a claim made by an official employee, based for the building of the case. Notably, a demonstration was held 3 years ago in front of the house in protest over it and over the construction of a hotel for Shiite pilgrims and visitors.

The burning house was extinguished by Civil Defence personnel, and was vacant of residents.
