Amman Hosts the 2nd Jordan-International Energy Summit in May

AMMAN —Al Ghad— Under the patronage of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr Ibrahim Said, the Second Jordan-International Energy Summit is launched in May 16th and 17th , 2016, and will host a platform of energy experts and major investors in the fields from all around the world to discuss the future, opportunities, and challenges of the progress of the various sources and industries of energy, from gas, oil, to natural gas and renewable energy, to nuclear and mineral energy, shale oil, outlining possible opportunities for investment.

The conference will be attended by Secretary General and ministers of energy from Jordan and electrical and renewable energy from Egypt, along with Algerian Minister of Energy and Mining, and President of the Jordan nuclear energy commission, as well as Secretary General of The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Chairman of the International Energy Agency, and others from different parts of the world in coordination with World Bank Middle East Regional sustainable development official and Chairman of “Idama” Dr Maher Matalgah.
