AMMAN — The Income and Sales Tax Department signed a taxation refund agreement on tourist and non-resident purchases between JOD50 and JOD500, with the Talal Abu Ghazaleh (TAG) Company and international partners, after an international tender competition.

According to the plan, TAG and partners are to take over the refunding cycle of operations on sales tax incurred by tourists and non-residents in the Kingdom, through domestic civil airports and a number of maritime and land ports around Jordan; noting that 320 shops are registered with the refund scheme, considering the plan was first implemented in 2006.
